Dharma Blues Band Dealing with the devil.wmv

In 1964 Dave Brock and Luke Francis began playing as a duo, later to be joined by Mike King and, in time, to be known as The Dharma Blues Band. They played gigs and recorded some songs, two of which were used on blues compilations during that period and have also been issued on blues compilations during the eighties. These songs were “Roll ‘em Pete” and the better known “Dealing With The Devil” (Blues was known as ‘The Devil’s Music’). If you should happen across one of these albums you’ll certainly find on it another of Dave Brock’s friends, with whom he spent a lot of time in the sixties, Eric Clapton. In fact their regular companionship led to a Famous Cure information sheet incorrectly claiming Dave Brock to have once been in the Yardbirds. This line-up of The Dharma Blues Band released no records by themselves, though in 1967 Mike King, John Hillary and Gary Compton released an album called Dharma Blues (Major Minor SMCP 5017). Whether or not this could be called a Dharma Blues Band album is a matter of opinion since neither of the two founder members were involved, yet Mike King was a member by the time they took to using that name. Whatever, the album is certainly built on the material played by the Dharma Blues Band and I think it would have sounded pretty much the same had the original line-up made it.

Barolo and Barbaresco, Royalty of Italian Wines from Piedmont

Verona, January 27th 2012 (PRWEB) February 02, 2012

One man in particular has had a significant influence on increasing the prestige and perception of Piedmont and Italian wines abroad: Angelo Gaja. His influence is such that Wine Spectator chose him as the first featured producer in their ?Wine Star? series. “Angelo’s wines have had a great impact on Italy,” says Lamberto Frescobaldi, whose family has made wine in Tuscany for 700 years. “Not an impact on style, but on complexity, on wines making a statement. Wine has to make an impression on people’s minds. Angelo has given many of us that vision.”

According to Wine Spectator and Aldo Vacca, Director of the Produttori del Barbaresco: ?Gaja’s success isn’t just in salesmanship. He is constantly thinking about new ideas to try in the vineyard and in the cellar, challenging tradition to improve quality. “Why is he who he is? Because he is a gifted, talented winemaker, he is a smart businessman and also a very gracious host. Very few winemakers excel in all three fields of the industry.”

Gaja?s marketing genius is what truly distinguishes him from many other producers. He recognized very early on, the importance of ?word of mouth? by opinion leaders in the wine industry, sommeliers and restaurateurs. He was one of the first to challenge French wines, charging Grand Cru prices for Nebbiolo and demanding his wines be positioned alongside Burgundy and Bordeaux on restaurants? wine lists worldwide. In the late seventies, Gaja started distributing Domaine de la Roman

The Best Kept Secrets to Doing Business in China in Stephen Perl’s New Book “Doing Business with China: The Secrets to Dancing with the Dragon”

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 15, 2012

New book released by Arbor Books New York?”Today?s trillion-dollar China market is about to crack wide open?it?s just waiting for foreign investors to push it to the next level. It presents a great opportunity for US businesses to get in on the ground floor,” states Stephen Perl, leading trade US expert on trade and author of his new book, ‘Doing Business with China: The Secrets of Dancing with the Dragon.”

In President Obama’s 2010 State of the Union speech, he stated “We will double our exports over the next five years, an increase that will support two million jobs in America”.

Stephen Perl, author of the new book, Doing Business With China: The Secrets of Dancing With the Dragon says, ?There has never been a better opportunity to make money in the Chinese market?.

?Today, China is the fastest growing economy and the fastest growing market for US goods in the World,? says Mr. Perl, one of the world?s leading experts on China and its trade. ?It?s vital that US businesses take advantage of this trillion-dollar market. Consumer demand in China is about to explode for ?Made in the USA? goods. So why aren?t we treating CHINA like one of our best clients?? questions Mr. Perl.

According to the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR), exports to China neared one hundred billion dollars, an increase of nearly a third over the previous year. Additionally, US exports to China accounted for more than 7% of overall American foreign export.

?Doing Business With China? is a practical, nuts-and-bolts handbook on how to do business in China, with detailed methods for establishing successful relationships with Chinese government and business leaders. Mr. Perl provides critical cultural, political, and business insight from a US perspective.

Mr. Perl says doing business with the Chinese is more about partnering and guanxi (relationships) than making money right away. If US businesses want to ensure their future in the Chinese market, they must realize mutual benefits are measured in personal relationship as well as remuneration. Companies like General Electric, Pepsi, and many other large US corporations have figured this out. Now it?s time for everyone in the US to do the same.

Even China’s Vice President Xi Jinping agrees that developing business relationships between our countries is of the utmost importance. ?No matter what changes affect the international situation,? he asserted in a Reuter?s interview, ?our commitment to developing the Sino-US cooperative partnership should never waver in the face of passing developments.?

Rich with insightful and practical information, ?Doing Business With China? provides precise details and insider secrets regarding the Chinese:

corporate structure
legal structure
courts system
tax regulations
labor laws
banking system
BK laws
cultural traditions
financing trade with them
understanding China?s sales channels and more?.

Mr. Perl says his book is designed for small and large business executives, CEOs, entrepreneurs, government and private think-tank policymakers as well as employees who are doing or planning to do business with China.

?I spent years building relationships and setting up and growing companies in Asia and China,? says Mr. Perl. ?This experience has enriched my life in business and culturally as well. China can be your successful business destination. Our future economic growth lies in successful cooperation between the US and China.?

Art Attacks-Punk Rock Stars

The Art Attacks were a British punk band from April 1977 to March 1978. Their songs released as singles were “I am a Dalek/Neutron Bomb” and “Punk Rock Stars/Rat City”. The group was formed by Edwin Pouncey and Steve Spear, two students from the Royal College of Art, London for a one-off gig at the college. They were asked to do a gig at Wimbledon College of Art and this led to the bands’ short career. They had two tracks on the, “Live at the Vortex” (NEMS) compilation album, (Frankensteins Heartbeat and Animal Bondage) and one on the “Streets” (Beggars Banquet Records) compilation album, (Arabs in Arrads). They played at most of the London punk club and pub venues including The Marquee, Nashville and Vortex supporting bands like Generation X, 999, The Motors and The Lurkers. They also played out of town at venues in the south and north east of England. Their tracks have turned up on various punk compilations over the years and were collected and released with a bootleg live recording on the “Outrage and Horror” album (Overground Records). In the initial rehearsals and demo Rick Slaughter was on drums (later in The Motors) and Rob Smith on bass. For a time Robert Gotobed (later Wire) was on drums and played on the track “Rat City”. The band eventually became: Edwin Pouncey (aka Savage Pencil) – Vocals MS (Marion Fudger ex of The Derelicts) – Bass Steve Spear- Guitar JD Haney – Drums (later with The Monochrome Set) The group recorded a single as The Tagmemics (LAX records

LoL – The laser itself – Lux

OO Holy fuck. Ty for 30k views everyone! Maybe I’ll make another one… A few months back I was browsing Lux vids on Youtube and I didn’t find any good, long videos of Lux whipping her enemies to a nice soundtrack, so I decided to make my own. It contains the coolest kills and steals I captured on fraps the last few months. Enjoy! Skill in this order: E or Q (E if you go mid, Q if you sidelane) then 1 point in all skills, max E, max W, max Q. Put a point in ult whenever possible. Build: Sapphire Crystal, Boots of Speed, RoE, Sorceress Shoes, Mejai’s (Lux is VERY easy to stack, you don’t have to take many risks etc.) then the regular: Rabadon’s, Archangel’s, whatever mage-items you like (I recommend cdr-items such as Morello’s since you can bring ult-cd as low as 24 secs) (Note: Try Deathfire Grasp, It’s great for Lux, becasue you need some extra damage incase you miss any of your abilites + great stats) Runes: I use AP/lvl-glyphs and seals + magicpen-quints and marks. Masteries: Regular mage: 9/0/21 Summoner Spells: Clairvoyance, Flash. Whenever you get in trouble Flash out of it. Cairvoyance will give you the thing you want most: Vision over wounded enemies, vision over steal-material. (These are non-negotiable, you MUST pick these spells). I play Lux as an anti-carry/anti-mage. I focus my entire burst on the squishier enemies in the back of the teamfight from a (relatively) safe distance. If I feel safe, I run in to trigger my passive, but usualy I stay in the outskirts
